ATIME Executive Secretary Father Mikhael Kanbar in an Ecumenical Visit to Egypt

After his election as Executive Secretary of the Association of Theological Institutes in the Middle East (ATIME) which is related to the Middle East Council of Churches, Father Mikhael Kanbar visited Egypt and had many theological and ecumenical gatherings. On Friday, March 25, 2022, he visited the St. Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral, Anba Ruwais in Cairo, the Theological Seminary and Institute of Coptic Studies, and held a meeting with the deans of colleges and institutes from all Church families.

Afterwards, Father Kanbar delivered a lecture at the conference room of the Institute of Coptic Studies, in which he stressed on the ecumenical work and its importance. Participants were students from the Department of Church and Ecumenical Relations.

On Saturday, March 26, MECC Honorary Secretary General Dr. Gerges Saleh accompanied Father Kanbar in a visit to Anafora Retreat and Conference center. Then, on Monday, March 27, Kanbar visited the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Cairo.
