Volunteers Contributed to the Success of the MECC 12th General Assembly

Thank you from the Heart!

Wearing their white shirts and bright smiles, they spread life, hope and youth pulse at the Papal Logos Center in Wadi El Natrun during the activities of the MECC 12th General Assembly, hosted by the Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt.

They are volunteers. Young women and men who took a break from their universities and jobs and came to serve the heads and leaders of the Eastern Churches, and friends from all over the world, in an event hosted by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II. They all translated their love to His Holiness by working hard and tirelessly, taking care of every detail from the smallest to the biggest one, aiming at making this historical event a great success.

With these youth colleagues and their voluntary service, the MECC family grew up with new friends who contributed to the success of its mission in building bridges and standing together.

Nada, Youssef, Sarah, Belboul, Mina, Georges, Nardine, Nadine, Maryam, Rami, Pierre, Philopateer, Sherif.... all the organizing team, managed by Eng. Sameh Salib and his wife, the artist Marian Beshara, made exceptional efforts during the preparations for the General Assembly and worked with their constant smiles on the logistical arrangements and the necessary procedures for the reception of the guests who participated from different countries of the world.

We can’t also forget Father Abraham who helped everyone with love and remarkable monastic service, and the scout team who accompanied the guests from the entrance of Wadi El Natrun ensuring their safety and security all the way to the Logos Papal Center. As well as, the volunteer chefs who served delicious daily dishes appropriate with the health conditions of the participants.

Love greetings to each one of you! Thank you from the bottom of the heart for the efforts, sacrifices and hard work you made. We hope to meet again soon and cooperate together in future projects, in which the spirit of love is manifested by the grace of the Holy Spirit, as we witnessed during the days of the General Assembly!
