The New Secretary General of Danmission visiting MECC

Danmission’s Secretary General Kristian Petersen visited Dr. Souraya Bechealany, the Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches at the Council's headquarters in Beirut. Petersen was accompanied by Line Ramsdal who is the Regional Manager for the Middle East. Huguette Salameh, the Director of the Department of Communication and Public Relations at the MECC and Pierre Abi Aoun, the Senior Advisor on Program Management were also in the meeting.  The relevant parties first reviewed the historic cooperation between the two organizations and rapidly assessed the success achieved at the level of all departments and programs. Then, they discussed ways to strengthen this cooperation, especially considering the exceptional circumstances in the Middle East region. They also highlighted the high level of confidence that the organization gives to the General Secretariat of the Council as well as their collaboration at the service of the churches of the Middle East and human dignity.
