Brother Aloïs Löser, Prior of the Taizé Ecumenical Community in France visited the Middle East Council of Churches headquarters in Beirut and met its Secretary-General Dr. Souraya Bechealany and discussed together the preparations for the launch of the International Ecumenical Youth Meeting scheduled to be held in Beirut on March 22-26.
On the sidelines of the visit, Dr. Bechealany stressed that “in the current moment, in which the world is witnessing convulsions, horrific crimes and wars, this meeting brings a model of prayer for peace and reflection on building unity in diversity.”
Brother Aloïs Löser expressed his appreciations for this initiative and hoped to meet with a fruitful prayer and reflection that would provide a coexistence model.
