The Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches wrote to congratulate His Beatitude, the revered Patriarch Cardinal Mar Louis Raphael Sako, Patriarch of Babylon to the Chaldeans and Chairman of the Middle East Council of Churches, on the success the visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to Iraq. He stated in his letter: “I turn to you, Your Eminence, on behalf of my colleagues in the Council and the Secretaries General participating in this letter, to congratulate you on the success of the visit of His Holiness the Pope to Iraq. It was a successful visit by all means and will have repercussions for decades to come."

"Your influence was evident in every dimension of this blessed visit," he added.
