The Middle East Council of Churches Issues the "Season of Creation" 2023 Guide in Arabic

“Let Justice and Peace Flow”

Under the title “Let Justice and Peace Flow” and the symbol of “A Mighty River” from the Biblical text of Amos 5: 24, the Christian family in the Middle East and the world unites to celebrate the “Season of Creation.” A Christian and environmental Season that starts on the 1st of September and ends on the 4th of October yearly, as it invites us to pray and work together to protect our common home.

The Middle East Council of Churches had launched this Season for the first time in the region in 2021 through a series of various environmental activities and awareness campaign to preserve the creation, in addition to translating the Season’s guide into Arabic, which is adopted internationally and in different languages. Hence, the people of the East may also celebrate the Season’s activities with the whole world. As the people of God, we must work together on behalf of all Creation, as part of that mighty river of peace and justice. We are co-creatures, and part of all that God has made. Our wellbeing is interwoven with the wellbeing of the Earth.
