في ظلّ تفاقم الظروف الإنسانيّة والاجتماعيّة في المنطقة جرّاء تصاعد العمليّات الأمنيّة فيها، يقدّم مجلس كنائس الشرق الأوسط تقريرًا أسبوعيًّا بعنوان "مرصد فلسطين" حيث يتضمّن آخر المستجدّات الّتي تشهدها فلسطين خصوصًا وسط تدهور الظروف المعيشيّة والاجتماعيّة والأمنيّة في البلاد. ستكون بعض النصوص باللغة العربية، وبعضها الآخر باللّغة الإنكليزيّة، وذلك حسب المصدر.
In light of the worsening humanitarian and social conditions in the region due to the escalation of security operations, the Middle East Council of Churches presents a weekly report entitled "Palestine Monitor," which includes the latest developments in Palestine, especially amid the deteriorating living, social, and security conditions in the country. Some texts will be in Arabic, and some others in English, depending on the source.

كنسيًّا وتربويًّا، وبحسب موقع أبونا: إعلام من أجل الإنسان، "وصل 72 طالبًا من قطاع غزة إلى روما لبدء مرحلة جديدة من حياتهم الأكاديمية، ضمن مبادرة إنسانية تهدف إلى تمكينهم من مواصلة تعليمهم بعد سنوات من الحرب والمعاناة والانقطاع القسري عن الدراسة. وشكّل وصول عدد من الطلاب الملتحقين بجامعة سابينزا لحظة مؤثرة، إذ التقوا البابا لاون الرابع عشر خلال زيارته للجامعة، حيث أكد أهمية التعليم في بناء السلام وصناعة مستقبل أكثر إنسانية.
وتندرج هذه الخطوة ضمن برامج دعم أكاديمي وإنساني توفر للطلاب فرصًا للدراسة في بيئة آمنة. وبين آثار الحرب التي خلّفت فقدًا ونزوحًا وظروفًا قاسية، يتمسك الطلاب بحلم واحد: تحويل الألم إلى بداية جديدة، وبناء مستقبل يستعيد ما فقدته سنوات الحرب من حياة وأمل".[1]
أمنيًّا وإنسانيًّا، جاء في أحد تقارير وكالة الأمم المتّحدة لغوث وتشغيل اللّاجئين الفلسطينيّين:
" قطاع غزة
القتلى والجرحى
في الفترة ما بين 7 تشرين الأوّل/ أكتوبر 2023 وحتّى 6 أيّار/ مايو 2026، وفقًا لوزارة الصحة في غزة، حسبما ذكره مكتب تنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية، فقد قتل 72,619 فلسطينيًّا في قطاع غزة وأصيب 172,484 شخصًا آخر بجراح.
سجّلت الأونروا مقتل 391 زميلًا في غزة منذ بدء الحرب (310 من موظفي الأونروا، بالإضافة إلى 81 شخصًا كانوا يدعمون أنشطة الأونروا، حتّى 12 أيّار/ مايو 2026.
النزوح وإدارة المواقع
تواصل الأونروا رصد تحركات النازحين ومواقع النزوح. ويقدر أن 65 ألف نازح يعيشون في 82 ملجأ جماعيًّا طارئًا تديرها الوكالة.
يوجد حاليًّا 126 مرفقًا تابعا للأونروا داخل ]المنطقة العسكرية الإسرائيلية[ خلف ما يسمى "الخط الأصفر" وكذلك في المناطق الواقعة ضمن "الخط البرتقالي" التي يخضع الوصول إليها لموافقة أو تنسيق ]إسرائيلي[.[2]
في سياق متّصل، أفاد موقع الأمم المتّحدة أنّ "منسّق الأمم المتّحدة المقيم ومنسق الشؤون الإنسانية في الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة رامز الأكبروف اختتم زيارة استمرت يومين إلى قطاع غزة.
وزار الأكبروف مطبخًا مجتمعيًّا يقدّم آلاف الوجبات يوميًّا، كما اطّلع على كيفية إعادة تدوير المواد لمساعدة الأسر على تخزين الطعام بشكل آمن، لا سيّما في ظل مشكلة الآفات والقوارض.
وفي المؤتمر الصحفي اليومي، أشار فرحان حق نائب المتحدث باسم الأمم المتّحدة، إلى أنّ الشركاء في المجال الإنساني أشاروا إلى أنّ الأسر النازحة تُبلغ بشكل متزايد عن إصابات جلدية وأمراض أخرى، نتيجة دخول الجرذان والحشرات إلى خيامهم أو تلويث طعامهم.
وتبذل الأمم المتّحدة وشركاؤها كلّ ما بوسعهم لتحسين خدمات الصرف الصحي ومكافحة الآفات، غير أن توفير استجابات كافية وأكثر استدامة يتطلب استعادة الوصول إلى مكبّي النفايات الصحيين في غزة القريبين من المنطقة الحدودية، والسماح بدخول معدات إزالة الأنقاض إلى جانب غيرها من المواد والمعدات الحيوية.
وفي الوقت نفسه، يواصل العاملون في المجال الإنساني توسيع نطاق خدمات التعليم، حيث يعمل حاليًّا أكثر من 600 موقع تعليمي مؤقت، بزيادة قدرها 27 في المائة مقارنة بنهاية شهر آذار/ مارس. وتخدم هذه المواقع نحو 60 في المائة من الأطفال في أنحاء غزة.
ومع ذلك، لا يتلقى معظم الطلبة سوى ما لا يزيد في المتوسط عن ثلاث ساعات من التعليم يوميًّا، ولمدة ثلاثة أيام في الأسبوع. كما يحتاج التلاميذ بشكل عاجل إلى مزيد من المستلزمات، التي يتطلب إدخالها الحصول على تصاريح من السلطات، فضلًا عن توفير التمويل اللازم.
أعمال عنف في الضفة الغربية
وفي الضفة الغربية، يستمر عنف المستوطنين. فقد قُتل طفل في حادثة تورط فيها مستوطنون قاموا بسرقة نحو 700 رأس من الماشية في منطقة رام الله، مما أدى إلى تهجير ما لا يقل عن عائلتين من منازلهما.
وذكر مكتب تنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية أنه خلال الفترة ما بين 5 و11 أيّار/ مايو، أُصيب نحو 70 فلسطينيًّا، من بينهم 10 أطفال، على يد ]القوات الإسرائيلية[ أو المستوطنين، وقد وقعت معظم هذه الإصابات في سياق عمليات التفتيش والمداهمات التي تنفذها ]القوات الإسرائيلية[، وكذلك خلال هجمات المستوطنين.
ومنذ بداية العام، وثّق مكتب تنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية وقوع أكثر من 800 هجوم نفذه مستوطنون، وأسفرت تلك الهجمات عن وقوع إصابات بشرية أو أضرار في الممتلكات في 220 تجمعًا سكانيًّا، بمعدل ست حوادث يوميًّا".[3]
علاوة على ذلك، ووفق موقع الأمم المتّحدة، "يصطف عشرات الفلسطينيين يوميّا حول شاحنات المياه في قطاع غزة، في محاولة للحصول على كميات محدودة من مياه الشرب، بينما تتفاقم أزمة المياه مع استمرار تدهور الأوضاع الإنسانية".[4]
Latest updates:
On the security and humanitarian side, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) indicated in one of its latest reports the following:
“The Gaza Strip
Fatalities and injuries
Between 7 October 2023 and 6 May 2026, according to the Ministry of Health, as reported by OCHA, 72,619 Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip and another 172,484 injured.
UNRWA has recorded 391 colleagues killed in Gaza since the start of the war (310 UNRWA personnel, and 81 persons who were supporting UNRWA), up to 12 May.
Displacement, Site management
UNRWA continues to monitor the movement of displaced persons and displacement sites. An estimated 65,000 displaced people are living in 82 collective emergency shelters managed by the Agency.
Currently, 126 UNRWA facilities are located within the [Israeli-militarized] zone behind the so-called “Yellow Line”, as well as in areas within the “Orange Line” where access is subject to [Israeli] approval or coordination.”[5]
Moreover, the United Nations Website indicated that, [Israeli military operations] and surging settler attacks in the occupied West Bank are killing and maiming a growing number of Palestinian children, while in Gaza tens of thousands with life-changing injuries lack access to treatment and rehabilitation, UN agencies warned.
“We're seeing attacks become increasingly coordinated,” UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) spokesperson James Elder told reporters in Geneva. “Documented incidents include children shot, stabbed, children beaten, and children pepper-sprayed.”
Some 70 children have been killed since January 2025 – at least one on average every week – and a further 850 injured, mostly by live ammunition, UNICEF says.
“All this comes amid historic levels of settler attacks,” Mr. Elder continued, explaining that March 2026 saw the highest number of Palestinians injured by settler attacks in the last 20 years.
Bludgeoned by attackers
Following a recent West Bank visit, the UNICEF spokesperson described meeting an eight-year-old who had been beaten with a piece of wood in a settler attack and hospitalized for head injuries.
The boy’s mother “had both her arms broken when she reached across to protect her four-month-old baby, putting therefore her arms between her baby and the attacker's club”.
Mr. Elder also highlighted the prevalence of education-related attacks, including the killing, injury and detention of students, as well as the demolition of schools.
“Schools, which should be places of safety and stability, are increasingly becoming places of panic,” he stressed.
“I walked with schoolchildren through the West Bank so as to try and help them avoid any attacks,” the UNICEF spokesperson recounted. “It's interesting to watch them walk...They don't walk in a straight line because they're constantly looking over their shoulder.”
“This is a walk to school. It's become a walk through fear,” he insisted.
Record detention numbers
Mr. Elder also reported on a “sharp rise” in the arrest and the detention of Palestinian children from the occupied territory, saying that 347 of them are being held in [Israeli military detention] “for alleged security-related offences” – the highest number in eight years.
“Alarmingly, more than half of these children, 180, are held under administrative detention and without the procedural safeguards, including detention without regular access to legal counsel and the right to challenge detention,” he said.
Gaza children killed and maimed
Meanwhile in Gaza, Mr. Elder said that since the October 2025 ceasefire, the UN has documented at least 229 children killed and 260 injured.
Dr Reinhilde Van de Weerdt, the UN World Health Organization (WHO)’s representative in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, told reporters that some 10,000 children in the devastated Strip live with life-changing injuries.
Overall, an estimated 43,000 of the 172,000 people injured in Gaza since October 2023 have sustained such trauma, affecting limbs, the spinal cord or brain. Almost 2,500 people have been injured since the October 2025 ceasefire.
“Of the 2,277 people that have had a limb amputated, less than 25 per cent have been fitted with permanent prosthetics,” Dr Van de Weerdt said, due to a severe shortage of prosthetics in Gaza.
Amputees denied prosthetic limbs
Speaking from Jerusalem, the WHO representative explained that no less than 18 shipments of rehabilitation-related supplies such as wheelchairs or prosthetic limbs are pending clearance to enter Gaza, with waiting times ranging from 130 days to more than a year.
In total, more than 50,000 conflict-related injuries require long-term rehabilitation; no rehabilitation facilities are functional in the enclave.
“Every day that rehabilitation services in Gaza remain under-resourced is a day that preventable disability risks become permanent,” she concluded.”[6]
On another side, the Vatican News Website mentioned in an article, that “an exhibition in Rome tells the story of the war on Gaza through the eyes of children with a selection of photographs, poetry and video installations. An immersive journey that reflects on past and present amid fragility, memory and the longing for a future.
There are places where childhood does not simply unfold: it endures. In Gaza, amid rubble and expectations that have been placed on hold, children continue to imagine a possible future, suspended between normality and trauma.
The result of his tension is beautifully illustrated in the exhibition How Kids Roll, showing at Rome’s Palazzo Merulana from 14 May to 28 June 2026, curated by Loris Lai and Joseph Lefevre and produced by B-Roll Production and Ramon Pictures.
Here, the gaze of the children of Gaza becomes testimony and memory, but also an appeal to be heard. Supported by the Dicastery for Communication and the Dicastery for Culture and Education, and with Vatican News and Vatican Radio as media partners, the exhibition seeks to restore dignity and imagination to children growing up amid a conflict that continues to redefine daily life. Yet, as Loris Lai recalled, “We speak about Gaza, but the message is universal. Children are everywhere.”[7]
