By the special invitation of the Protestant Church in Switzerland and its President, the Rev. Rita Famos, UAECNE Acting President Reverend Dr. Paul Haidostian, President of the Union of the Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East (UAECNE), and President of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) for the Evangelical Family, visited Bern and Zurich for a series of activities focused on Lebanon, the Middle East, Armenia and Artsakh from 3-7 November 2024.
Beginning in Bern on Monday Rev. Haidostian attended the Synod of the Protestant Church in Switzerland (PCS) and gave the keynote speech on the topic: “Christian Witness in Armenia and the Middle East: The Case of Nagorno-Karabagh and Other Struggles for Integrity”. Also during the Synod Rev. Haidostian presented the Union’s medal “100 Years – UAECNE” to PCS President Famos in gratitude for the longstanding Christian fellowship ties shared by these two church bodies…
