On October 15, 2025, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, Supreme Head of the Syriac Orthodox Church of the World, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC), which were prepared by the organizations Oeuvre d’Orient and ALIPH, the main sponsors of the reconstruction of the Cathedral.
Their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Nicodemus Daoud Sharaf, Archbishop of Mosul, Kirkuk, Kurdistan and Environs, Mor Justinus Boulos Safar, Patriarchal Vicar of Zahleh and Beqaa, Mor Timotheos Moussa Al-Shamani, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Mor Matta Monastery, Mor Athanasius Touma Dakkama, Patriarchal Vicar of the United Kingdom, Mor Clemis Daniel Kourieh, Archbishop of Beirut, Mor Anthimos Jack Yacoub, Patriarchal Vicar of Jerusalem, Jordan and the Holy Land, Mor Yacoub Babawi, Patriarchal Vicar for Monks Affairs and the Administration of Mor Aphrem Theological Seminary in Maarat Saydnaya, Mor Augeen Al-Khoury Nemat, Patriarchal Secretary, and Mor Youhanon Lahdo, Archbishop of Sweden and Scandinavia, were also present.
The celebrations were also attended by His Excellency Mr. Abdel Qader Al-Dakheel, governor of Mosul and His Excellency Mr. Ahmad Fakak Al-Badrani.
