Presentation of HASG Armenological Yearbook Volumes 13 and 14 Under the Auspices and Blessing of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I
Under the auspices and blessing of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Church, Holy See of Cilicia, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC), the Cilicia Library organized the presentation of the HASG Armenological Yearbook, Volumes 13 and 14. The event took place on Friday, December 19, 2025, in the hall of the “Cilicia” Museum.
The ceremony commenced with V. Rev. Fr. Hovagim Panjarjian welcoming the attendees and outlining the yearbook’s significant history and mission. He highlighted its founding in 1948 by His Holiness Catholicos Karekin I Hovsepiants, noting that despite historical interruptions, the publication continues its vital work today through the direct encouragement and support of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I. Fr. Hovagim extended profound gratitude to the editor of the presented volumes, His Eminence Archbishop Shahan Sarkissian, and to all the contributors for their dedicated work.
The content and scholarly significance of the new volumes were then presented in detail. V. Rev. Fr. Apraham Joulfayan introduced Volume 13, followed by V. Rev. Fr. Kevork Karageozian’s presentation of Volume 14.
His Eminence Archbishop Shahan Sarkissian addressed the gathering with words of appreciation. In his remarks, he emphasized the yearbook’s exemplary role in the field of Armenology and its unique function as a bridge connecting scholars in the Republic of Armenia with those in the Diaspora. He concluded by expressing filial gratitude to His Holiness Aram I for his unwavering support and belief in this academic mission.
His Holiness Catholicos Aram I then delivered the concluding address. He commended the editorial team and contributors, stressing the continued importance of scholarly publications in an era where readership is declining.
