His Holiness Catholicos Aram I Graces Seminary’s New Year and Christmas Celebrations

On Friday, December 26, 2025, the Armenian Theological Seminary family gathered in a spirit of joyous fellowship to celebrate the New Year and the Feast of the Nativity of Jesus Christ. This special agape celebration, jointly organized by the Seminary Administration and the Ladies’ Committee, brought together administrators, committee members, faculty, and students as one community. The evening was graced by the presence of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Church, Holy See of Cilicia, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC), who honored the gathering with his paternal blessings and guidance.

Under the direction of Master of Ceremonies, V. Rev. Fr. Azad Filikian, the program unfolded with heartfelt addresses. The celebratory atmosphere was further enriched by musical performances and the festive arrival of Santa Claus.

In his concluding message, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I offered profound spiritual insight. He emphasized that the Seminary is far more than an institutional structure or a school; it is a living spiritual entity with a vital mission. Connecting this truth to his vision for the coming year, His Holiness linked the Seminary’s purpose to his Pontifical Proclamation designating 2026 as the “Year of the Renewal of Spiritual Life.” Inspired by this message, the heartfelt wish of the entire Seminary family is that 2026 will be, for all, a year abundant in God’s blessings and grace.
