Birds Nest Orphanage Family Visit His Holiness Catholicos Aram I

On Saturday, May 10, 2025, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Church, Holy See of Cilicia, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) welcomed the family of the Birds Nest Orphanage, led by the Director, Very Reverend Father Antranig Kurumlian. The gathering included students, staff members, board members, and representatives from the women’s auxiliary. Additionally, His Grace Bishop Dajad Ashekian, Chancellor of the Catholicosate, was present at the event.

The purpose of the visit was to extend congratulations to His Holiness in anticipation of the 30th anniversary of his enthronement as Catholicos. During the visit, Father Antranig conveyed his heartfelt joy regarding the occasion and the visit. Krikor Arslanian, representing the board of trustees, also delivered remarks, assuring the continued commitment of the Birds Nest Orphanage to its mission. He expressed gratitude to His Holiness for his unwavering support while wishing him health and longevity.

In turn, His Holiness Aram I expressed his deep appreciation for the kind words and reaffirmed the Catholicosate’s constant commitment to its community. He commended the dedicated efforts of the Birds Nest Orphanage staff, recognizing their vital role in preserving national heritage and providing a nurturing environment for children.
