On June 7, 2025, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, Supreme Head of the Syriac Orthodox Church of the World, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC), visited the construction site of the Holy Cross Monastery in Sweden and inspected the ongoing work of construction of the new building for the Monastery.

The engineering team took His Holiness on a tour on the site and explained the different stages of the work.
