The Opening Worship Service for the 78th General Assembly of the UAECNE Commemorates the 1700th Anniversary of the Nicene Creed
Commemorating the 1700th anniversary of the Nicene Creed, the Opening Worship Service for the 78th General Assembly of the Union of the Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East (UAECNE) took place on 29 June 2025, at the First Armenian Evangelical Church, Beirut. The service was also broadcasted live on the UAECNE YouTube Channel.

He pointed to the incarnate Son of God, fully “one of us” and fully God, and called the congregation to walk in that shared faith.
Rev. Raffi Messerlian, UAECNE Central Committee Chair, opened the Service with words of greeting and a Prayer of adoration, while Rev. Dr. Haroutune Selimian, Central Committee Vice-Chair and President of the Armenian Protestant Community of Syria, offered a heartfelt Prayer to God for peace - in human hearts and in everyday life, especially in this region. He also acknowledged the messages of solidarity the General Assembly received from partner churches and organizations.
Among the Ecumenical guests was Rev. Joseph Kassab, who offered words of encouragement and challenge on behalf of the Supreme Council of the Evangelical Community of Syria and Lebanon…
