On July 20, 2025, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and Supreme Head of the Syriac Orthodox Church, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches celebrated the Holy Qurobo and the Funeral Service of the Thrice Blessed Archbishop Mor Gregorius Saliba Shemoun, at the Lady of the Light Cathedral in Erbil.
