On February 22, 2026, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, Supreme Head of the Syriac Orthodox Church of the World, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC), presided over the Evening Prayer (Ramsho) at St. Aphrem Church in Melbourne - Australia. He also prayed the Shubqono (Forgiveness) service which is celebrated at the beginning of the Great Lent.
