The Head of the Chaldean Catholic Church, Patriarch Louis Raffael Sako, called on Iraqi leaders in Baghdad and Erbil to put people before oil profits in their evolving political calculations concerning the future of Iraq. He challenged leadership to come together for a collaborative process of reconciliation, citing the suffering of civilians and the Christian community as the unacceptable cost of self-interested decisions.
