Waste Management Campaign in Dara’a | Syria

Within MECC “Cash for Work Program”, a Waste Management campaign was implemented in Dara’a responding to an urgent request received from the people of the region to remove the accumulated wastes from the area. The issue has become alarming, affecting the life of the residents and increasing risks of contamination and contagious diseases.

MECC hired 64 workers to accomplish the cleaning campaign, providing them with all the required tools, accessories and garbage tanks, including special uniforms.

The campaign was accompanied by hygiene promotion sessions for 126 hosts and displaced families, approximately a total of 630 individuals.
