MECC Supports Families Affected by Farmlands Fire

In an effort to support Syrian society and address its needs, MECC distributed 255 food kits to families affected by the fires that broke out in a number of villages in the Christian Valley and Safita.

The aim of these distributions was to assist families whose farmlands were affected and consequently, they lost their income by losing olive trees, green houses and fruit trees.

It is noteworthy that, in October, a series of fires broke out in a number of areas in the governorates of Lattakia, Tartous, Homs and Hama burning large areas of agricultural lands and forested areas in addition to burning a number of houses.
