Community Awareness of COVID -19 in Dara’a

In order to serve the society, MECC implemented 3771 home visits to families in Al-Neimeh, Ghasem and Al Sumakiat in Rural Dara’a to increase their awareness about COVID -19.

The families were introduced to methods of disease transmission and infection symptoms in addition to providing tips about strengthening the immune system.

In addition, MECC team presented the main prevention methods that are represented in maintaining personal hygiene, constant and correct handwashing, avoiding crowded places, wearing facemasks, cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, etc…

Every family received a hygiene kit to help COVID-19 prevention. The kits included sanitizers and detergents such as: gloves, soap, chlorine, medical alcohol and other items in order to reduce the economic burden resulting from the pandemic.
