HE Bishop Joseph Mouawad Highlighting the “Week of Prayer for Christian Unity” on Radio Liban Libre

As part of the eight-day-prayer for the Christian Unity, HE Bishop Joseph Mouawad, President of the Episcopal Committee for Ecumenical Relations for the Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops in Lebanon, was the guest of Jana Ghazi on Radio Liban Libre RLL, Wednesday 19 January 2022.

During the interview, HE. presented a brief overview about the symbolism of the "Week of Prayer for Christian Unity" and its most prominent historical stations, in addition to its celebrations in the East and the world. He also explained the usual preparations of this week, shedding light on the role of the Middle East Council of Churches this year in choosing the theme of the week and preparing the texts of prayers and meditations for its booklet.

As well as, Mouawad introduced the listeners to this year’s theme: “We saw his star at its rising and have come to do him homage” (Matthew 2:2) and its meanings, highlighting the content of the booklet and its topics. The interview also focused on the importance of unity and the reasons that led to the division in Christianity.
