The Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) concluded the Ecumenical Youth Camp in Lebanon, organized as part of the Youth Leadership Building (YLB) Program, in cooperation with the Bible Society, Ithraa’ Center, and the World Student Christian Federation (WSCF), with the support of Kerk in Actie. The camp brought together young men and women from various Christian Church Families.
The fourth and final days of the camp featured a diverse program combining learning and interaction, along with opportunities for participants to express their talents and exchange experiences.
The fourth day included many Prayer stations, as well as a session on emotional intelligence led by Mrs. Hala Obeid from Ithraa Center. It also featured a Bible study session led by Pastor Asadour Mncherian. The day concluded with a talent show that the participants had prepared for throughout the day.
The fifth and final day included a Prayer walk, in addition to a second session on emotional intelligence led by Mrs. Cynthia Abi Nader from Ithraa Center. Participants also had the opportunity to share their experiences and reflections on the camp program, as well as the key lessons they had learned.
The camp concluded with words of thanks and gratitude from Ms. Maria Bzdikian, Program Coordinator in the MECC Theological and Ecumenical Department, to everyone who contributed to its success, including the organizers, trainers, partners, and supporters, as well as to all the youth for their participation, engagement, and commitment.
