His Eminence Metropolitan Nicolas Antoniou Presided Over the Divine Liturgy at the Archangels Church in Al-Zaher - Egypt

In the Presence of the MECC Secretary General Professor Michel Abs

His Eminence Metropolitan Nicolas Antonio, Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Tanta and its Dependencies, and Patriarchal Commissioner for Arab Affairs, presided over the Divine Liturgy on Friday, October 31, 2025, at the Archangels Church in Al-Zaher, Egypt. He was assisted by the Parish Priest Father Youssef Darous. The service was attended by the Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) Professor Michel Abs, and believers.

In his word, His Eminence Metropolitan Nicolas Antonio welcomed Professor Michel Abs, who then delivered a word about the Middle East Council of Churches and His Eminence’s role over the past many years before handing over the reins to His Eminence Metropolitan Damaskinos Alazrai.

Afterwards, His Eminence Metropolitan Nicolas Antonio presided over the Memorial Service commemorating the fortieth day since the passing of Dr. Rafik Medhat Hakim, who departed this life in the hope of resurrection and eternal life. May his memory be eternal.

The Sixth World Conference of the Faith and Order Commission of the World Council of Churches Concludes Its Sessions

With the blessings of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, the Logos Papal Center in Wadi El Natrun, Egypt, bid farewell to the international delegations participating in the Sixth World Conference of the Faith and Order Commission of the World Council of Churches (WCC), held under the theme "Where Now for Visible Unity?", between October 24 and 28, 2025.

The final day began with a Morning Prayer, as with all the days of the conference, where participants raised their Prayers with hearts full of peace and hope, united in the name of Jesus Christ.

The day's program included various sessions that addressed the reality of Christian unity, its concepts, and most prominent meanings. This was in addition to the challenges that may hinder its achievement and how to overcome all difficulties in order to reach the desired goals.
