His Holiness Catholicos Aram I Addressed the Opening Session of the Armenian Heritage Conference
The opening ceremony of the Armenian Heritage Conference commenced on May 27, 2025, in Bern, Switzerland. The event was organized by the World Council of Churches in partnership with the Swiss Protestant Church.
The opening ceremony featured welcoming remarks delivered by Rev. Rita Famos, President of the Protestant Church in Switzerland, and Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, General Secretary of the World Council of Churches.
During the opening session, His Holiness Karekin II of the Holy See of Etchmiadzin and His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Church, Holy See of Cilicia, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC), addressed the audience. Catholicos Karekin II presented his remarks in person, while Catholicos Aram I conveyed his message via video.
