His Holiness Catholicos Aram I Departs for Athens

On the morning of May 29, 2025, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Church, Holy See of Cilicia, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC), departed for Athens, Greece, for an official visit, accompanied by a delegation from the Cilician Brotherhood.

This visit will span four days, during which His Holiness is scheduled to engage in meetings with the Prime Minister of Greece, as well as the Ministers of Defense, Education, and Religion, in addition to meeting with the Spiritual Head of the Church of Greece. His Holiness will also attend the presentation of the Greek translation of his book, The Armenian Church. Furthermore, he will participate in various church ceremonies and cultural events associated with the Armenian community and will meet with church bodies.
