His Holiness Catholicos Aram I Continues his Pontifical Visit in Greece
On the second day of his pontifical visit to Greece, on Friday, May 30th, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I continued meetings with high-ranking state officials and church leaders in Athens.
In the morning, at his hotel lobby, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Church, Holy See of Cilicia, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC), met with the Director of the National Intelligence Service of Greece.
Later, His Holiness held a meeting with Sofia Zacharaki, the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports of Greece, attended by representatives from the Armenian Prelacy of Greece.
Following these meetings, His Holiness Aram I received the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece His Beatitude Hieronymos II. In honor of His Holiness, the Archbishop hosted an official dinner, where speeches were delivered and gifts exchanged. Throughout the dinner, they shared views and suggestions aimed at strengthening ties between the Armenian and Greek Churches.
His Holiness then met with Giorgos Kalantzis, the General Director of Religious Affairs of Greece, accompanied by HG Bishop Sahag Yemishian, the Prelate of the Armenian Prelacy of Greece.
