Advanced Business Start-Up courses at Al Zabadani | Syria

The MECC Grants Program team conducted two advanced business start-up courses for 30 participants who passed the basic level of the course, at Al Zabadani City in Rural Damascus.

The two six-day courses, entitled “Simplified Feasibility Study for My Project”, focused on how to study the economic feasibility of a project, as well as the basics of marketing, promotion and sales.

Each participant prepared a feasibility study for the projects he wants to establish. Then, a specialized committee of MECC evaluated all the projects and provided financial grants for 23 successful ones. Currently, the beneficiaries are working on starting implementing their own projects.

“I had worked for 15 years in managing my own tents manufacturing business, but I lost everything because of the war. Today, I am re-establishing my business with the help of MECC”, one of the beneficiaries said”.” I learned how to correctly organize and manage business activities and finances and I realized the mistakes that I made and hindered my business progress at that time”, he added.
