HE. Rev. Dr. Habib Badr Guest of Suboro TV: With Patience and Hope, We Reach Through our faith the Desired Goal, Unity of Christians and Churches

Media agencies are still covering the "Week of Prayer for Christian Unity" 2022 to shed light on this historical Christian station. Hence, HE. Reverend Dr. Habib Badr, President of the National Evangelical Union in Lebanon and President of MECC for the Evangelical Family, was the guest of “Kel Yom Bi Yawmo” program (which means “Day by Day”) on Suboro TV, Thursday 20 January 2022.

During the interview, HE Rev. Badr highlighted the "Week of Prayer for Christian Unity", and explained how the week of prayer theme is being chosen and who is usually in charge of preparing the booklet of prayers and mediations. He also mentioned why the Middle East Council of Churches chose the title of this year’s week of prayer, “We saw his star at its rising and have come to do him homage” (Matthew 2:2), as a message from the Eastern Churches to the whole world.

HE. Rev. Badr tackled the meanings of Christian unity and its importance, as well as the factors that may prevent its achievement. He also presented a brief overview about the historical steps and stations of the Evangelical Church aiming at achieving this unity. Moreover, HE. described the life of Christians in the East and the reasons that threaten their Christian witness in the region.

At the end of the interview, HE. Rev. Dr. Habib Badr, called everyone to be patient and to cling to hope, because through them “we reach in our faith the desired goal, which is the unity of Christians and Churches.”
