In an effort to support Syrian society and address its needs, MECC distributed 255 food kits to families affected by the fires that broke out in a number of villages in the Christian Valley and Safita.

Recently, the Interpol issued three international arrest notices or “Red Notices” for the owner and captain of a ship that brought 2,750 tons of explosive material. Those named are Borys Prokoshew who is the captain of the ship and Igor Grechushkin, a Russian businessman and apparent owner of the MV Rhosus that brought the ammonium nitrate into Beirut in late 2013.
