Prayer is one of the most effective ways for the unity of the faith community.

But reaching the unity and the solidarity of the group requires other paths.

Unity is an end by itself, but cannot be reached without sacrifice and anguish.

On the occasion of the "Week of Prayer for Christian Unity", the Middle East Council of Churches, and in cooperation with the Episcopal Committee for Ecumenical Relations, invite you to participate in a virtual meeting and an ecumenical prayer on Sunday January 24, 2021 at 6PM GMT.

Recently, the Interpol issued three international arrest notices or “Red Notices” for the owner and captain of a ship that brought 2,750 tons of explosive material. Those named are Borys Prokoshew who is the captain of the ship and Igor Grechushkin, a Russian businessman and apparent owner of the MV Rhosus that brought the ammonium nitrate into Beirut in late 2013.
